Well at least he does as a sweet 20 something young man from Ghana who picked me up at the airport and brought me to my weekend training accommodations! Looks like I will have a real shower and a flush toilet for two more days before we head to our Clinic placement in Frankadua….oh and internet for 1 more day while training so took the opportunity to post today.
Elvis picked up a microscope near the airport to bring with us to the clinic on Mon because they don’t have one. I cannot wait to see how these people practice medicine in a low resource country. I think we’re going to learn a lot from one another!
Our compound is surrounded by barbed wire. The ground is sand and tile with a lot of wood / metal scraps strewn around. There are some skinny chickens and an old dog that live here for entertainment.
Have a great Sat, sending you the nice one we’ve already started here. Xoxo
